An eight-year relationship built on thermography, predictive maintenance and periodic arc flash analysis — and ten years without a breakdown.
The Situation.
In 2014 the site suffered nuisance tripping. The Client wanted to cut maintenance cost and time without compromising safe working, and to comply with NFPA 70E.
What We Did.
- Thermography surveys of electrical panels once or twice a year, analysed by an ITC Level 1 thermographer
- Arc flash analysis in 2015 for NFPA 70E compliance, repeated every 5 years and after a capacity expansion
- Detailed reports with prioritised recommendations after every survey
The Result.
- A working relationship of more than 8 years
- In the latest survey, 273 panel feeders inspected: 253 healthy, 4 warning, 16 unhealthy, each with a recommended action
- 10 years without a breakdown
